A cultural and educational event under the motto “Values of My Homeland” was held at the Tax Higher School under the Tax Committee to promote national customs and traditions, strengthen respect for the rich cultural heritage of our people, and showcase the creative potential of students.

Throughout the event, a variety of stage performances showcased the centuries-old traditions of the Uzbek people, traditional games, folk music, songs, and dance. In particular, traditional Uzbek wrestling (Kurash) and the folk game “Oq terakmi, ko‘k terak” highlighted values passed down through generations, such as solidarity, agility, and unity.
The artistic program featured traditional folk songs, including “Do‘ppi tikdim” and “Kim oladiyo, shuginani-yo,” as well as performances of national artistic traditions, such as the “Andijon Polkasi” dance. In addition, traditional folk song dialogues and competitions (lapar and aytishuv), along with national dances, showcased the rich oral traditions, distinctive musical heritage, and unique performance practices of the Uzbek people.
Special attention was also given to the contributions of Jadid reformist intellectuals in promoting national identity, preserving the Uzbek language and cultural heritage, and advancing education and enlightenment among the people. It was emphasized that their ideas, aimed at safeguarding national values while embracing modern knowledge, remain highly relevant to today’s younger generation.
